Overview
The MELT method is a neurofascial technique that can be used to reduce or prevent physical and emotional pain and stress, and is also claimed to extend active life and by counteracting some of the physical aspects of aging. It does by stimulating the fascia, or the sheets and bands of continuous connective tissues that holds our body together. You have connective tissue in your skeleton, joints and muscles, and also around your vital organs, and by stimulating even a part of this continuous system you will change your whole body. What does MELT mean: the term MELT is an acronym for Myofascial Energetic Length Technique, which means that through appropriate muscular action we can rehydrate connective tissue and enable it to stretch and lengthen. The MELT method has the same effect on your connective tissues as yoga and Tai Chi have on your flexibility and nervous system. It is a unique self-treatment method because it is the only one that focuses on the connective tissues. The way you achieve this simulates the hands-on methods used by therapist Sue Hitzmann to reduce and eliminate pain and stress in her clients, and she has applied for a patent for the technique which is pending. "The MELT method, a user-friendly system of self-massage using balls and rollers, is gaining popularity among dancers, athletes, seniors and any exercisers who do not like pain." "The Science of M.E.L.T. brings the body to Ideal Alignment. Ideal Alignment occurs when a body maintains an upright position against gravity- effortlessly. When all of the joints align at their centers, there is minimal compression, inflammation, or compensatory action of any motion, thus distributing the weight through out the entire structure." "This simple self-care tool is the “missing link” to pain-free fitness because a different system of the body is being addressed—MELT is to connective tissue what weight training is to muscle or yoga is to flexibility. Now you can self-treat your body's connective tissue while also maximizing the effectiveness of every other health and fitness regimen." "Just by adding Melt to your life 15 minute as day, three days a week, you can reverse the signs of pain and you can rehydrate your tissue and rebalance your nervous system and bring your posture, actually to a more upright posture and better alignment and stability in your body."

| About Melt Method |
MELT In Practice In practice, you are provided with a number of foam rollers and balls of different hardness, then harder they are the deeper their effects penetrate. By rolling these on certain parts of your body as instructed you can take advantage of all the benefits that the system offers, and here are some of these: Athletes: reduce the effects of stress and strain on your muscles and joints. Your joints are held together by connective tissue such as ligaments, tendons and cartilage, and inflammation of muscles and joints after exercise is why you feel pain when recovering. MELT can help you avoid this, and speed up recovery times of athletes from joint inflammation and muscle pain. Elderly: as you age, your joints tend to break down and you suffer the pain of the inflammatory condition, arthritis. This can happen all over your body, and age can also bring on osteoporosis. MELT can be used to reduce the effects of these conditions and even allow you to live longer without experiencing them. Gymnasts: gymnasts, dancers and others that rely on the suppleness and flexibility of their joints can remain more flexible and maintain muscle strength for longer by using the MELT method. Delay the Effects of Aging Basically, by stimulating your connective tissue, you stay looking lithe, supple, healthy and active for significantly longer that had you not employed the technique. You can delay the need for that walking stick or Zimmer, and maintain good health, both physical and mental, by regular use of MELT. It is of benefit to anybody, irrespective of age: young men and women in any walk of life and the elderly wishing to maintain an active life and delay the physical effects of aging. Day-to-day tension and stress affects your body more than you think. Whether you are lifting and carrying your children, shopping or running a marathon, stresses build up and environmental pollution, such as traffic and industrial emissions, take their toll as do medications, pesticides in food and general worry over your job, your health and your family. These all build up to create tension within your body that affects your connective tissue. How MELT Works Few know much about their connective tissue, but science shows us that in stressed conditions it can dehydrate and cause damage to the nerves, muscles, organs, bones and joints, the health of which is largely dependent on healthy connective tissues. Small aches and pains and general stiffness can develop into major health defects such as back pain, digestive issues and ultimately serious injury and accelerated aging. The result is serious or chronic health issues, loss of mobility and ultimate surgery. On the other hand, by maintaining hydration of your connective tissues, and relieving the tension held within them, you can avoid health issues such as these and stay healthy and mobile over a much longer period. You can genuinely hold back the years, and reduce the effects of aging. Massaging with the rollers and balls provided can achieve this hydration and loosen up your joints. Some Provisos In spite of all these benefits, there can be occasional problems, and you should be made aware of the following provisos: if you are aged 65 or over, be careful how you carry out the method because your bones tend to come closer together in your joints, the free space contracting due to changes in your connective tissues. MELT can still be used, but with more care and using the softer foam. The same is true if you have osteoporosis or any other bone condition. MELT is a self-help system that you can use to maintain healthy connective tissue, which in turn maintains healthy joints, muscles, heart, organs and nervous system. It is unlike any other technique, including yoga, Tai Chi or Pilates, and is medically accepted by doctors worldwide.
