Cruise Control Diet Review – Just a Fad or the Next Great Thing? Cruise Control Diet

2.5/5 (2 votes)

Losing weight is something that a lot of people are concerned about, and it is no secret that, for many people, it is also something that absolutely has to happen. However, some unscrupulous individuals and companies have come up with bogus products and diets in an effort to cash in on people’s hopes. Nevertheless, among all of those are also a few diet programs that really do work. The problem is that it is impossible to try them all in the off chance of finding one that is genuine.

You may have heard of the Cruise Control Diet, which was developed by James Ward and is hailed as one of the most flexible programs of its kind out there. It is much more than a diet because it is actually a healthy eating lifestyle. Ward himself was a classic yo-yo dieter and he believes that his program is different, not in the least because it focuses on hunger signals and nutrient rich, healthy food. So is this one of those diets that is worth a try?

How Does the Cruise Control Diet Work?

The basic theory behind the Cruise Control Diet is the Instinctual Eating Principle, or IEP. This means that the diet provides us with nutrients, but is also designed to satiate hunger. According to IEP, artificial diet products will never work, because they do not satiate hunger. This is where the Cruise Control Diet sets itself apart, encouraging people to eat the things their body actually needs.

James Ward understood that starvation diets were counterproductive. While people can usually starve themselves for a few days, they then end up binging later on and undoing all their hard work. What is more important, he believes, is that all the important hormones are controlled, thereby regulating fat storage and appetite.

Interestingly, most of the Cruise Control Diet rules go completely against the rules in most other diets that are based on calorie control. For instance, it bans low calorie foods and even calorie counting! Instead, it focuses on getting to know the signals your body sends out and learning how to respond to them. What this means, in a nutshell, is that:

  • You must eat foods that help burn fat storage.

  • You should not eat foods high in sugar or other carbohydrates, as they make you feel hungry.

  • You should not consume any processed foods or bottled drinks.

  • You should not consume fresh or packaged smoothies or fruit juices, although you can eat whole fruits.

  • You must respond to the hunger signals your body sends.

  • You are allowed to indulge once or twice a week, eating what you like, even if that is unhealthy.

The program is made up of three key phases:

  1. The metabolic reset phase, which lasts for two weeks and regulates your insulin production.

  2. The cruise control phase, where you learn to listen to your body and eat the natural, wholesome foods it requires.

  3. The rapid fat burning phase, where you can start to reap the benefits of your new lifestyle.

The Cruise Control Diet does not require you to spend countless hours in the gym. In fact, it points out that people who are obese have often sustained injuries as a result of going to the gym, because their bodies can’t carry the excess weight. Hence, any exercise that people choose to take part in, should be according to their abilities.

The diet is gaining a lot of popularity, with people praising the fact that it is not a starvation diet, nor one that makes impossible claims. Rather, it uses scientific knowledge to deliver real results. There are no rules to follow, and there is no pressure. While the program can be completed in eight weeks, people can complete it in as little or as much time as they want as well.

What I Liked About the Cruise Control Diet

  • It is a very affordable program at just $39.99.

  • It is a flexible program, which means it is easy to stay motivated and actually see results.

  • You will not feel hunger pangs, because the entire diet is designed around avoiding those.

  • It does not lead to weight loss plateaus, which are very common with other types of diets.

  • It is sent to you both digitally, to which you get instant access, and physically. This is something that really sets the program apart from the thousands of other diet programs.

  • It comes with a 60 day, 100% money back guarantee.

  • It is available for both domestic and international customers.

  • It has been positively reviewed by many different people.

  • The diet was created by someone who has gone through dieting, tried everything, and was never successful.

  • It does not require you to take any supplements or other chemical products.

  • It allows you to eat the things you like to eat, and even has indulgence days.

What I Didn’t Like About the Cruise Control Diet

  • The program is not suitable for vegetarians or vegans as it is based on meat.

  • You have to self-regulate what you eat, and this can be very hard. While many of us start with all the motivation in the world, it is all too easy to indulge more and more often.

  • It does not come with an exercise program. This is, in part, because James Ward believes that exercise can actually be harmful to people who are obese in particular, and that dieters should therefore develop an exercise regime that is right for them. However, it is also a known fact that exercise is a key part of losing weight and staying fit and healthy.

The Final Verdict

Overall, the Cruise Control Diet seems to be one to try. It doesn’t offer a quick fix, which is a good thing since most of us now are realistic enough to know that quick fixes don’t exist anyway. Furthermore, it promotes a healthy lifestyle, rather than being a diet that you follow for a while and then abandon later on. It teaches people to listen to their body and to cut out all the things that are bad, which aren’t so much the calories, but rather the processed things that are not nutrient-rich at all and only leave us feeling hungrier. Overall, this diet is 100% recommended.

I appreciate your presentation of the pluses and minuses to this diet. I really hate it when I am redirected to a 15-minute talk or movie when I basically just want the facts and can read for myself. So thanks for the way you presented this.

It’s not a 15 minute infomerical. It’s over 30 minutes of soft sell, sell, sell, sell, sell. See yourself slim. Blah. Blah blah. Get to the point. He also says now that we understand how it works…..What? I must have missed how it works in the mountain of descriptive talk about feelings you gave. I have been on the KETO diet for 3 weeks & have had NO cravings or hunger at all even yesterday when i did not get to eat until 5 pm. BTW I am 100+ pounds overweight so that’s amazing to me

Just got through listening to a presentation that actually made me have to plug my fully charged phone in because of it’s length! I appreciate THIS streamline info as well. I totally got the blah blah blah feeling and feeling as though I missed something in the explanation of the online CCD presentation. The info above is very helpful and gives me a great starting point. I’m not saying that CCD is not a good idea. The whole food way of life is natural and what I remember as the diet I ate as a child. I needed to expand my idea of some of the food examples and this info gave me just that! Thanks!

I thought I had brighten they s diet but never got a confirmation on it so I really don’t know. Could not find a number to call to find out. Will have to contact my credit card and red flag it I guess. Sad because I really wanted to try it.
