Lectin Shield Review – Can This Really Help You Become Healthy Again?Lectin Shield

3.4/5 (10 votes)

We all aim to be healthy, trying our best to eat right and live right. Some people take this to the extreme, denying themselves certain foods or lifestyles. Others take a more relaxed approach and simply do the best they can. However, no matter whether you are someone who puts all your energy into staying healthy, or someone who gives it a passing thought, we are all shaken to the core when something happens that shows we’re actually not healthy at all.

Lectin is a relatively unknown protein that can be found in the body, which has been found to cause significant damage to overall health. The protein is consumed through a number of different foods, especially legumes, which means many people consume it as part of their overall health regimen. Although not many people have heard of it yet, scientists have now attributed a number of health concerns to this particular protein. These include weight gain, bloating, constipation, and other issues with the digestive system. Not just that, it can lead to various thyroid problems, depression, and overall lethargy.

One of the greatest problems with lectin is that, because it is so unknown and because it is found in foods that we consume in order to be healthy, there isn’t much out there yet that can help us fight its harmful effects. That was until Lectin Shield was developed by Dr. Gundry. This supplement offers an affordable, natural, safe, and effective solution for those who want to be protected from the harmful effects of lectin.

What Is Lectin Shield?

Lectin Shield is a completely natural product that was developed by Dr. Gundry in an effort to help people fight the negative impact of lectins. Because research has shown that lectin can cause very significant problems in the digestive system, the GI tract, the intestinal wall, and overall immune system, it is actually very important that we all make an effort to fight this damage. That is what Lectin Shield aims to do. Since it was created by a physician, it gives people the peace of mind of knowing they have something that works and that won’t harm them even more.

Lectin Shield contains ingredients designed to neutralize the effects of lectins. As these proteins have been shown to cause damage in many parts of the body, it is vital that people make efforts to combat this as much as they can. The supplement helps with this by addressing problems with lack of energy, fatigue, flatulence, weight gain, and bloating. It also supports overall heath and wellness, ensuring that users feel on top form every day once again.

Who Is Dr. Gundry?

Dr. Gundry is a highly respected physician who has had an extensive career in various fields of medicine. He founded the Center for Restorative Medicine, through which he helped to develop alternative treatments, and also prevent illnesses. To achieve this, he uses his in-depth knowledge of modern medicine, and also his passion for holistic, natural methods. This is what eventually led to him developing Lectin Shield.

How Does It Work?

Lectin Shield contains a special formula of nine completely natural ingredients that have been found to help combat the negative effects of lectin. They have been observed to support the body in a holistic manner, and this means people notice an overall improvement of wellness. The supplement is made available as a capsule, which means it is very easy to swallow. You should take two capsules twice a day with a meal for the best effect. The ingredients will then start to build up in the body and the positive effects become noticeable after around two weeks.

Once these benefits are noticeable, people have reported an almost extreme improvement in overall wellness. They notice that their digestion has been greatly improved, which is achieved because of the fact that the GI tract starts to function properly again. Lectin attacks the GI tissue in particular, thereby disrupting the overall digestive system, which in turn leads to various other problems. After two weeks, people have reported not just an improvement in their digestive processes, but also in their overall immune system, feeling better overall. In typical Dr. Gundry style, therefore, the supplement not only gets to work on repairing the damage that has already been caused, but it also helps to prevent future illnesses and ailments.

Lectin Shield Ingredients

There are nine key active ingredients in Lectin Shield, all of which have been observed to be beneficial on their own, and they are strengthened by the synergetic effect of being provided together. Dr. Gundry believes in openness and transparency, which means he has not created some sort of “proprietary blend”. Rather, the ingredients of his product are openly listed on the product’s website, and also on the bottle. Not only are the ingredients listed, but the amount and dosage of each ingredient are also provided.

Dr. Gundry has worked for many years to make sure that the ingredients work in synergy to provide the maximum possible health benefits. Additionally, he guarantees that they are all of the highest purity. The result is that the product is effective and safe. However, it does contain shellfish extract, which means it is not suitable for those with allergies, or for vegetarians and vegans. Additionally, it contains concentrated iodine, which some people are also intolerant to.

The ingredients included in Lectin Shield are:

  • N acetyl D-glucosamine (300mg)
  • Bladderwrack (200mg)
  • D-mannose (100mg)
  • Okra extract (100mg)
  • Sialic acid (100mg)
  • Sodium alginate (100mg)
  • Vegetable peptase (50mg)
  • Methylsulfonylmethane (50mg)
  • Larch arabinogalactans (50mg)

The product also contains silica, stearic acid, and vegetable cellulose.

What about Vital Reds?

If you purchase Lectin Shield through Dr. Gundry’s website, which is the only place that will guarantee you that you are getting the real deal, you may notice an advertisement for his other product, Vital Reds. Vital Reds is a supplement powder that contains 100% natural, effective, and safe ingredients. The formula has been tested in a third party, independent facility for purity and quality to assist people in further enhancing their overall health. Dr. Gundry recommends that one scoop be added to any beverage, and that one should be had each day. This product further supports the workings of Lectin Shield and enhances overall health as well. While it is an optional extra, Dr. Gundry does recommend that people use it as well.

What I Liked About Lectin Shield

  • The product has been designed by a physician.
  • It offers numerous benefits, including the fact that it helps to minimize bloating, reduce gas, reduce constipation, decrease diarrhea, protect the skin, protect the thyroid, improve circulation, promote joint health, suppress appetite, maintain healthy circulation, and control cravings. As such, it is a holistic product that increases health overall.
  • Dr. Gundry is completely open and transparent about the ingredients and dosages in the supplement.
  • All ingredients work in synergy with each other.
  • Different purchasing options are available to provide people with significant discounts. The VIP club, which is free to join, is particularly good.
  • Purchases come with a 90 day money back guarantee, which is significantly longer than that offered for other supplements. This means you really have the opportunity to see if the product works for you before deciding whether or not to keep your purchase and even buy more.
  • Lectin Shield has received hundreds of positive reviews from people who have noticed tremendous benefits to their overall health.

What I Didn’t Like About Lectin Shield

  • It is not an instant cure and it takes at least two weeks before any effects can be noticed.
  • You do have to take four tablets each day, which is quite a lot.
  • It contains shellfish, which means it is not suitable for those with allergies, vegetarians, and vegans.
  • It contains concentrated iodine, which some people are sensitive to.

The Final Verdict on Lectin Shield

It seems that, no matter how much we try to get healthy, we are fighting a losing battle. All our foods now contain various harmful substances that attack our body, making it harder and harder to remain healthy, even if we truly try. However, with products such as Lectin Shield, at least some of this damage can be undone and prevented. Created by a dedicated physician who believes in holistic approaches for both treatment and preventive medicine, Lectin Shield seems to be the product we have all been waiting for. It is, therefore, 100% recommended.

For those of us who have many food allergies AND Rheumatoid Arthritis, why is shellfish and iodine included in the ingredients of Lectin Shield?

Aria Goodman

Hi Georgia! I’m Aria from Gundry MD. Thank you for your question. This product does contain N Acetyl D-glucosamine, an extract from the shells of shrimp and other shellfish, as well as bladderwrack, which contains natural concentrations of iodine. N Acetyl D-Glucosamine binds to harmful lectins from wheat. Since wheat lectins have been associated with joint problems, this wheat lectin blocker is also a popular ingredient in joint health supplements. Bladderwrack, a powerful seaweed, has been shown in studies to bind to dangerous, inflammatory lectins. Studies also suggest Bladderwrack has antifungal properties against Candida yeasts. This is why these ingredients are found in Lectin Shield. Anyone with a shellfish allergy, or with concerns about excess iodine in their systems, should not consume Lectin Shield. I am so sorry for the inconvenience. If you have any other questions at all, please e-mail me at Aria@Gundrymd.com. Thank you!

I am hypothyroid, post ablation (don’t have a functioning thyroid now) and take 150 Synthroid a day…I really wanted to try this product until I saw there was iodine concentration it. I suppose this would be a problem?

I would like to know the answer to this also please.

What was the answer to this iodine concentration and hypothyroid?

Erin baker

I have the same concern. I too have hypothyroidism and am concerned about the high iodine content including the bladderwrack in @ Lectins Shield”

Shanna, check and see how your country fares for iodine. Here in Australia the land has an iodine deficiency. In fact we buy iodised salt to help overcome this.

A lot of people don’t use much salt so this could help them.

Andrea wood

Hi Helen ,I’m in NZ and I was just going to say the same as you 🙂

I would like to try it but it is too expensive for people who need it on a fixed income and it looks like it is questionable as if you can afford to pay for it, you actually receive it.
