Total Restore Review – Boost Your Energy and Reduce Leaky Gut?Total Restore by Gundry MD

3.44/5 (9 votes)

Chronic pain, feeling lethargic, and not being at top performance are some of the worst conditions to live with. There can be many causes for feeling this way, with physicians often looking towards mental health, such as depression. However, one of the common causes that is rarely discussed is leaky gut. In this condition, zonulin, a protein, breaks free from the intestinal lining. The result is that undigested food and, potentially, toxic microbes, enter the bloodstream. If you believe that you may have leaky gut, then it is important to seek medical advice. You could also try taking a supplement, preferably after discussing this with your physician. Gundry MD Total Restore is one such supplement.

What Is Leaky Gut Syndrome?

According to the Mayo Clinic, so-called “tight junctions” separate the content of the intestines and the body. These tight junctions are single cell layers and it is now known that these cells are dynamic, meaning they can open and close depending on pathogens, neuronal signals, and dietary factors. Sometimes, they fail to function properly with the result that certain substances, such as endotoxins, can leak into the bloodstream. This results into aches and pains, food sensitivities, cramps, gas, bloating, and more, which are known to be the symptoms of a “leaky gut”. It has been observed that patients with Crohn’s disease and celiac disease often have this condition.

Medical professionals, meanwhile, still do not really fully comprehend leaky gut. Some believe it is a symptom of Crohn’s and celiac disease, whereas others believe it is a condition on its own. What they do all agree on is that when someone is diagnosed with leaky gut, it means further investigations have to be conducted to determine whether there are other issues at hand as well.

The Johns Hopkins Integrative Medicine and Digestive Center agrees with this. They state that there is no real understanding of the causes and treatment of leaky gut. Hence, it is important that medical professionals are involved every step of the way. And it also seems that many now recommend that people use Total Restore by Steven Gundry MD.

Who Is Steven Gundry MD?

This medical professional specializes in cardiovascular disease. He is also trained as a thoracic surgeon. He graduated in the 1970s from Georgia School of Medicine’s Medical College. Since graduating and starting work, he has developed and patented nine different surgical devices for cardiac procedures. His focus now is mainly on nutrition. He has written a number of nutritional books, including “Dr. Gundry’s Diet Revolution” and “The Plant Paradox”.

He founded Gundry MD in 2016. The company has manufactured a number of popular supplements, including Glucose Defense, Prebiothrive, Lectin Shield, and Vital Reds. The company has an A rating with the BBB (Better Business Bureau). Total Restore is one of the company’s most popular products.

What Is Gundry MD Total Restore?

Total Restore is a new type of supplement developed by Dr. Gundry himself. The formula is described as a completely natural, safe, and effective solution that helps to strengthen the lining of the gut, thereby preventing leaky gut. Total Restore is made up of 16 different natural ingredients, all of which work in synergy with each other for maximum effect. The product does not contain any fillers, harmful additives, or chemicals.

The blend has been designed to make the lining of the gut to be much healthier. In so doing, the body is protected from an overload of endotoxins. Mainly, it promotes full body wellness. According to the company, users can expect a reduction in all leaky gut symptoms, including constipation, diarrhea, bloating, and gas. Furthermore, it increases energy, stops joints and muscles from aching, and helps to fight cravings for certain foods.

To benefit from the product, you need to take three tablets per day, together with the biggest meal. Alternatively, you can take one capsule at three different intervals, although most people find they benefit more if they take them in one go. Those who have used the product have consistently reported that, within just a few days, they feel better overall, experiencing increased energy levels and better digestion. After two to three weeks, the most dramatic results become evident.

Supplement Facts and Ingredients

Total Restore Ingredients

There are many products on the market today that claim to improve digestion and intestinal health. However, it is more difficult to find products that focus specifically on leaky gut, and even harder to find products that have been developed by someone as renowned as Dr. Gundry. When he claims that a product helps to improve overall heath, digestion, and energy levels, it is reasonable to assume he is right. What further sets the product apart is that it works so quickly. The brand itself claims it takes just a matter of days to become effective, and it seems that those who have used it agree. The full results tend to be noticeable after about two or three weeks, which is a relatively short period of time.

The following ingredients are listed on the Gundry MD website, which prides itself on complete transparency, therefore also including the amounts:

  • 7mg of magnesium

  • 2mg of zinc

  • 213mg of L-Glutamine

  • 142mg of N-Acetyl D-Glucosamine

  • 86mg of magnesium beta-hydroxybutyrate

  • 58 grape seed extract

  • 54mg of licorice roots powder

  • 50mg of wormwood powder

  • 50mg of cinnamon bark powder

  • 34mg of maitake mushroom extract

  • 22mg of VitaBerry (organic cranberry, elderberry, tart cherry, blueberry, raspberry, and strawberry)

  • 17g of cloves buds powder

  • 17 mg of black pepper seeds powder

  • 17 mg of grapefruit seeds extract

  • 10mg of marshmallow roots powder

  • 10mg of zinc L-carnosine (Pepsin GI)

  • 3mg of berberine bark powder

These are all ingredients that have been scientifically demonstrated to help digestive and intestinal issues. Hence, they increase people’s overall quality of life. Most importantly, the ingredients are not just effective, they are also very safe. This means that people don’t have to be as concerned about potential side effects. That said, it is always vital to seek the opinion of a medical professional before taking any kind of product, even if it is a natural supplement.

Considering the fact that no treatment currently exists for leaky gut, those who suffer from it will be happy to hear that a product like Total Restore is available. Considering, as well, that so many people seem to have benefited from it, it really seems to provide a ray of hope. Clinical evidence shows that the ingredients included in Total Restore, and particularly magnesium, have helped people who suffer from GERD (gastroesophageal reflux disease), which shares some similarities with leaky gut. This evidence has been confirmed by the Natural Medicines Database, Examine.com, and WebMD, all trusted scientific sources. Evidence has also shown licorice to be beneficial in digestion.

Possible Side Effects

It is very important to find out whether side effects are associated with taking any kind of product. The Gundry MD website lists that Total Restore is completely safe and effective to be used daily for most people. However, they do say you should speak to a physician first, to determine whether there are no adverse effects associated with any other medical condition you have, or medication (prescription, over the counter, herbal, or supplemental) that you take.

Specifically, there is a small concern with licorice, because there is a potential safety issue for those who use it in large quantities, as it can affect blood pressure. Marshmallow roots, meanwhile, can cause low blood pressure. Grapefruit is known to interact with different types of medications, which is another reason why you should speak to a physician first.

Prices and What You Get

At the time of this writing, three quantities of Total Restore were available, all of which came with free shipping. They were:

  1. One jar, which is a 30 day supply, which costs $69.95.

  2. Three jars, which is a 90 day supply, which costs $209.85.

  3. Six jars, which is a 180 day supply, which costs $317.70. Choosing this option means you save $17 for each jar.

All purchases are backed by a 90 day money back guarantee.

What I Liked About Total Restore

  • Made up of natural ingredients

  • Developed by a respected and experienced doctor

  • Has received many positive reviews

  • Fast acting

  • Discounts available for bulk buys

  • 90 day money back guarantee

What I Didn’t Like About Total Restore

  • May be unsuitable for people with certain medical conditions

The Final Verdict

Total Restore is a product that is developed by a respected company and a trusted doctor. They have received very positive customer reviews and their supplements are backed by a 90 day satisfaction guarantee. The company is also open and honest about its ingredients and dosages, and warns people that some of these ingredients may interact with existing medical conditions and medications and therefore recommends people speak to their physician first. This type of honesty and openness is rare in the world of supplements and a true breath of fresh air. If you believe that you are suffering from leaky gut and you would like to increase your overall quality of life, then Total Restore may just be the right product for you.

Don’t buy fast food the next 5 days and save then purchase this and see the difference then come back to this forum in 1 month. Its your Health or NOT!
its not less money to price out individually, and the right amount has been scientifically met.

If you have to buy the individual ingredients separately as I tried it would be way more expensive . I do think the ingredients are high quality and as the rule you get what you pay for applies here too.. I agree with you it is sad the price puts it out of reach or many people .Also remember that it has try it free warranty so you can try it somewhat for free even if you go through some hurdles like others here that have tried to send the product back. I think it is worth trying . I have seen benefits from it but not the full benefits.I feel better overall and it could be from it.When you are in pain or discomfort all we have is trying.I hope it helps

Yes there very much is that available. You need to watch the video and then order. There are huge discounts for doing that. People don’t know that 60 million Americans and 14% of the population are reported to have parasites that the wormwood in Total Restore fully handles. Those parasites are up to no good and it’s worth it to your health, well-being, and enjoyment of life to handle that. Good luck and God bless.

I’ve been doing Total Restore for probably 3 or more months now. Additionally i’ve been doing Pre-Bio Thrive and Lectin Shield daily. Some background first: for years i had been having problems with weight and bloating , cramping, poor bowl movements, constipation, etc. Probably the worst was bloating and headaches/back pain from eating dairy or potatoes, rice. I’m going in for a colonoscopy next week, but i must share that it wasn’t till i stopped the dairy and potatoes etc, and started taking the Gundry products that i began having normal looking bowel movements again.
There have been SO MANY times lately that i’ve felt like i could now eat anything because i was having such good digestion. That was a bit of a trap for me as i started being more adventurous with my eating again. While my symptoms weren’t as bad as before, i have made up my mind that there are certain foods i simply shouldn’t eat. Perhaps in a couple years i could go back to eating those foo, but for now, i’m still limiting them and taking the products. I like my overal health and my complexion has improved. I’m not losing weight yet because of my improved digestion and probably eating more becaue my stomach seems to be able to handel it. Self control cannot be bought and i need to slow down my eating, but i am having great digestive success with these products so to me jt’s worth it. Have i had some gas and cramps? Yes, but i feel it’s most likley that my guts are doing some deep cleaning with the Total Restore, and wouldn’t that be expected? Also, there was a period where i was doubing up on the doses, but lately i’m just using as directed and it’s plenty effective. Not everyone is as messed up down there as some are, so for some it may take longer to feel normal again.

Is taking the total restore an everyday thing the rest of your life or until you get your leaky gut symptoms under control?

I would think it is for as long as you are eating the foods that cause the leaky gut. So it’s up to you to change your diet or keep taking the pills. However, the diet in the USA is full of the lectins he is referring to.

I am on synthroid . I had a total thyroidectomy for thyroid cancer a few years ago. the manufacturers of synthroid claim the drug may react differently if you eat grapefruit. Total restore contains grapefruit seed extract! Has anyone with this situation used the product and noticed a problem or positive results!

Is there a point where use is no longer needed – or is this a “for life” thing? All debate aside, if it does as stated and repairs the holes created, once the repairs are completed is it recommended to discontinue or reduce usage? This is pricey as it is, but life time use would add up to crazy money.

I used it for 2 months at 3 caps per day with great results. I went down to 2 caps per day and have been doing that for 4 months and have still had the same great results. The biggest life changing product I have ever tried.

I’ve read that there’s a lot of caffeine in them, that ordering can be difficult, poor customer service … So I’m cautious.
If you watch the 55 minute video, there is reportedly a link to a discounted price.

I don’t think there is any caffeine at all. From the ingredients list on the bottle. and I don’t feel any kind of artificial stimulant reaction; been taking 3 capsules every day first thing in the morning before any food since July 7. Only thing I noticed in the first week was an urgency to move my bowels a few hours after taking the product but that passed after the week.

I noticed something happened the second day. It’s been all positive. My digestion has improved, I’m not tired any more, I sleep better, I am overall less bloated, my clothes are fitting better, my mood has changed, years of cramps in my legs – gone, etc. Look at the ingredients, there is no caffeine in this product. I just entered my second month. I will continue to be positive and keep taking Total Restore. The days before getting this, I thought I was dying. For one, my stomach was killing me. No more. I do understand that something that works for one person, might not work for another. This works for me.

I ordered after sitting through a 50 minute commercial on YouTube which I truly found intriguing. Got my 3 bottles in less than a week. Started yesterday…I feel my bowels are getting cleaned out..No diarrhea but several small bm’s today. All ingredients are clean and natural…all in one source so I don’t have to buy 20 separate supplements somewhere.

It has wormwood in it. That kills parasites. I have been taking Total Restore for about 2 weeks and found little unmoving white strings in my stools as long as a finger nail and some a pinky that resemble parasites. Total Restore is helping kill off what Center for Disease Control reports 14% and 60 million of all Americans have been detected with- Parasites. This product is helping so much. Thank you so much. It isn’t just to increase general health… people have parasites wearing down their available energy levels and don’t even know it. Total Restore is very highly recommended to all people.

Ok maybe I will try the supplement. But I need also to know a list of foods that contain lectin! Shouldn’t he give an ideal diet to follow while taking these supps? I don’t want to spend this much on a lectin and endotoxin blockers only to continue to eat more of these food unknowingly. What diet should one follow and which foods to avoid?
